Our service blends classic hymns, contemporary songs, and thoughtful liturgy with an approachable message. We invite everyone, from toddlers to grandparents, to worship together in the sanctuary family-style. With reserved parking, ramp access, hearing-assist devices, and nursery care for children under five, we offer a fully accessible, welcoming space for everyone.     Community Movie Nights

    EVERY THIRD FRIDAY · DUSK

    Grab a lawn chair (or blanket) and join us on the church lawn for a family-friendly film under the stars. We’ll have free popcorn, snacks, and plenty of laughter—everyone in the neighborhood is welcome! (We’ll move indoors if the weather doesn’t cooperate.)

    Begin the day with fresh air, light exercise, and good conversation as we “walk in His steps.” We meet at Prospect Park (1584 34th Ave, Moline). If it’s raining, find us inside SouthPark Mall at the Ashley Furniture entrance. All paces and fitness levels welcome—just bring comfortable shoes and a smile!

    EVERY THIRD THURSDAY · 11 AM

    Boomers and beyond, come enjoy a relaxed, catered lunch followed by an engaging program—guest speakers, music, travel tips, and more. No charge, but a freewill offering is appreciated. Everyone is welcome!

    Meet us in the church narthex each Wednesday (October - May) for a thoughtful, discussion-based exploration of Scripture. Choose the time that fits your schedule—both sessions follow the same lesson and welcome every level of Bible experience. Bring a Bible, bring a friend, and let’s grow in faith together.

Meet Our Pastor

REV. ANNE JORGENSEN

Anne’s faith journey began in the pews of First Covenant Church in Marinette, WI, where she first felt a nudge to love and lead God’s people. After nearly a decade in the nonprofit world, she earned a Master’s in Nonprofit Administration at North Park University. There, her passion for service grew into a clear call to pastoral ministry, prompting her to complete a Master of Divinity at North Park Theological Seminary in 2015. She accepted her first pastoral role at Glen Ellyn Covenant Church, was ordained in the Evangelical Covenant Church two years later, and now brings that same servant-hearted leadership to First Covenant Church of Moline.

Anne offers a deep love for Scripture, practical compassion, and a talent for building community. When she isn’t preaching or planning ministries, you’ll find her chasing her dog Eddy at local parks, hiking national park trails, sampling the Quad Cities’ best eats, or soaking up time with her beloved nephews and niece.

Our Beliefs

At First Covenant Church of Moline, our faith is guided by six core affirmations that keep us centered on Jesus, anchored in Scripture, dependent on the Holy Spirit, and engaged in God’s mission. Learn more about the Evangelical Covenant Church >>

  • The Covenant Church states its view of Scripture as follows: “the Holy Scripture, the Old and the New Testament, is the Word of God and the only perfect rule for faith, doctrine, and conduct.”

  • When the Covenant Church affirms that it is evangelical, it proclaims that the new birth in Jesus Christ is essential. We teach that “by the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, God conquered sin, death, and the devil, offering forgiveness for sin and assuring eternal life for those who follow Christ.” New birth is more than the experience of forgiveness and acceptance. It is regeneration and the gift of eternal life. This life has the qualities of love and righteousness as well as joy and peace.

  • The Covenant Church has always been characterized by its involvement in mission. The earliest name attributed to Covenanters was “Mission Friends,” people who covenanted together for the purpose of common mission both far and near.

  • The Church is a communion or fellowship of believers, characterized by mutual participation in and sharing of the new life in Christ.

  • The Covenant Church, rooted in historic Christianity, affirms one God as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit continues the creative work of the Father and the redeeming work of the Son within the life of the church. It is for this reason the Covenant Church has emphasized the continuing work of the Spirit.

  • The Covenant Church seeks to focus on what unites followers of Jesus Christ rather than what separates them.
